M and I Garmash

The date is drawing near. Soon the Garmash’s and their interpreter will arrive from St. Petersburg Russia for their only East Coast appearance. “Witness the Marriage of Love and Art.” Primarily known for their figurative paintings, they are steadily gathering a following of collectors for their landscape paintings. They will be flying in a week early to create beautiful Plein Air paintings of the harbor town of Northport where the gallery is located. We will also be raffling off one of their limited edition canvases with the money raised going to the American Cancer Society.

The elements of Arvid’s life are embodied in his paintings. In “It Takes Two,” hyper-realism meets wine country idealism. The shadows of the bottle are reflected in the glasses; even the stem of a wine glass contains a perfect reflection of the bottle and cork, capturing the essence of easy living in masterfully crafted detail.
