Thomas Kinkade Paints Yankee Stadium

Thomas Kinkade, who is primarily known for his idealized paintings of the English Countryside and the cottages in them, has been ask to create a work of art commemorating one of the greatest cathedrals in the history of the game of Major  League Baseball tm.  Please read below for further details on Kinkade's new release "Yankee Stadium."

In 1923, the original Yankee Stadium was built in the Bronx. In 2009, the New Yankee Stadium will be complete. To commemorate the ballpark's Farewell 85th Season in 2008, Thomas Kinkade has been asked to capture the stadium and the action taking place on the field. The image above is a preliminary sketch that the finished painting will be based on.   Set to be released in August, the new canvas will be limited to 1923 images, and available in the 18" x 24" size.
