Stephen Charles Shortridge 1, 2, 3

STEPHEN CHARLES SHORTRIDGE — Without formal training, Shortridge turned to the French Impressionists who became his inspiration. Preferring full colors and bold painting strokes, Shortridge has established his own romantic impressionist style.

Stephen Charles Shortridge, the artist, may be more familiar to you as an actor. He spent many years as an actor and amongst Shortridge's collectors are celebrities Patty Duke, Donna Summer and Rick Dees. While living in the Los Angeles area, Shortridge exhibited with fellow actor/artists, including Peter Falk an accomplished artist himself.

Shortridge enjoyed acting but finds painting to be much more creatively satisfying - the feeling to be able to have that total freedom to create is exciting to him. His teachers were the French Impressionists, Monet in particular. However, his full colors and bold strokes have established him as a unique America Romantic Impressionist.
