Claudio Simonetti
Claudio Simonetti — Claudio Simonetti was born in Italy in 1929. He studied at the Rome Institute of Art where he was inspired to travel throughout Italy and France painting the countryside and learning from the top artists at the time. Simonetti’s skill is based in the fundamentals of painting. These include exquisite compositions and color. His themes include the coastal villages of Italy as well as the canals of Venice. While a master in his studio, he is becoming more and more known for this Plein Air work. These paintings are where the artist sets up his easel on location and captures the scene, light and mood in a single sitting. Claudio Simonetti shows regularly in Venice, Milan, Paris and New York.
The paintings below are a sampling of the artists work. Please contact the gallery to view his recent collection of available oils.
