FROGMAN TIM COTTERILL — “Frogs are fun creatures! I have tried to capture their individual spirit; their fun and their joy,” says world-renowned frogman sculptor Tim Cotterill.
Known simply as “The Frogman” to his many fans and admirers, Tim Cotterill's unique bronze frog sculptors are designed to exude the same joy and exuberance that is embodied by their creator.
Born in Leicester, England in 1950, Frogman Tim Cotterill began a six year engineering apprenticeship at the age of 15. His experience there provided the foundation for his artistic career. By the 1970’s and 80’s, he began sculpting gold and bronze bird sculptures, and to this day over 1000 have been sold worldwide.
By 1990, Tim Cotterill moved to California, where his new surroundings further influenced him to create entertaining and distinctive artistic work. Cotterill is currently devoted solely to creating bronze frog sculptures; as he constantly challenges himself sculpt new and intriguing versions of his amphibious friends.
