Regan Santry — Regan Santry’s life is balanced between his two passions, Art and the Ocean. His love for both flows into the images of every marine species he Textureprints. His artistic goal is to accurately reveal to the world the striking beauty of the endangered treasures that dwell, deep and out of sight, in our fractured seas. A former native of New York, he currently resides in Florida.

Inspired by Gyotaku, the Japanese art of fish printing, Regan invented a more advanced and precise technique which he named Textureprinting. With this new approach, he’s able to challenge the limitations of traditional Gyotaku by rendering large and oddly contoured marine animals in minute detail. As a result, many of his subject species have never been imprinted before. To improve the life and quality of the print, he renders his work onto acid free paper or canvas and in giclee’ inks. Each signed and numbered Textureprint bears the Chinese symbol for harmony.
