At LaMantia Gallery, we believe art is an immersive experience and we regularly rotate our art to provide new and thoughtfully curated exhibits for all of our patrons, and we host events and shows that allow our clientele to interact with our artists on a personal level.

We feature a variety of art in traditional, contemporary, and modern styles, and we have a significant online reach. Our art consultants are well versed in current technologies that allows us to digitally place art on your walls to give our clients an in-home preview prior to purchasing the art. Additionally, the gallery can coordinate framing, delivery, and installation locally and around the country.

In addition to original and limited editions works, LaMantia Gallery offers custom art experiences for our clients with our artists. This personalized experience allows our patrons to be involved in the creative process, which brings such satisfaction to our clients.

Recently co-owners James LaMantia and Sharmila Amico expanded the brand by opening its newest location in Sarasota, Florida with resounding success.

SHARMILA:
Co-owner Sharmila Amico has 25 years of experience in Finance and Management, but has always appreciated and been deeply involved with the arts. After operating and selling her investment fund and servicing platform, she and James decided to embark on a strategy of brand expansion by opening new galleries and collaborating with a multitude of synergistic businesses to increase reach. Sharmila holds MBAs in Management and Finance, both from Hofstra University. Sharmila is located at the Northport, NY location.
JAMES:
Founder James LaMantia’s career in the fine art world started as a young man as he was inspired by his family which was made up of artists and musicians. James graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a BFA. While exhibiting his work in both New York and Long Island, he was the Gallery Director for the Amber Palette which was located on Madison Avenue in Manhattan for 5 years. He has had articles published, has been regularly quoted in trade magazines, and was proud when the gallery was voted “The #1 Gallery in the Nation for Retail Excellence” by Décor Magazine in 2005. While successful in business, James is also involved in many community projects and is most proud of being a Director for Gift of Life Florida and the Past President of the Northport Rotary Club twice.
